Bio
I'm Noel Lopez—a frontend engineer who started with a design degree. I've spent 14 years building production UIs at companies like Cisco, translating design vision into pixel-perfect code. I understand both the designer's intent and the engineering constraints, which helps me build interfaces that not only work well but look great.
My technical foundation includes React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Angular, with a focus on accessibility, responsive design, and component architecture. At Cisco, I led frontend development for Control Hub, an enterprise platform serving 50,000+ users globally, where I architected complex UI workflows and mentored junior engineers.
I stepped back from full-time engineering in 2022 to support family priorities. Starting December 2025, I started my technical ramp-up on modern React patterns, TypeScript, and testing frameworks. I've built several projects and I'm ready to contribute to meaningful work.
When I'm not designing or coding, you'll usually find me hanging out with my wife and kids or working on DJ-style mixes—a hobby that lets me explore rhythm, flow, and creativity in a different medium. It's a fun counterbalance to my other work.
